Sustainable & Eco-friendly Prefab Home Design

Living in a Sustainable and eco-friendly home has never been more imperative. Nowadays, the concept of architecture should seamlessly integrate with the planet. Choosing a genuinely eco-friendly material and system will significantly reduce environmental impact and maximize year-round comfort. In addition, Its also reduce running costs for HVAC ( Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning). To increase your home’s energy efficiency, choosing the right type of insulation is essential. There are several eco-friendly types of insulation alternatives available on the market.

The architecture around us should seamlessly integrate with, and nourish the planet, not drain the resources and reduce the lifespan.
In an effort to encourage an eco-friendly way of life, sustainable and eco-friendly architecture has been gaining immense popularity among architects!

Touchwood in-house Architects have been designing sustainable private homes, cabins, resorts and overwater villas
These architectural designs aim to harmoniously merge with nature, co-existing with it in peace, and allowing us to live in equilibrium with the environment. We reduce their carbon footprint and encourage a green and clean lifestyle. And, not to mention it is aesthetically and visually pleasing as well!

Touchwood also provides a water catchment System. The role of rainwater catchment systems in sustainable water management is they will store the water from rain to provide an alternative water supply. The rainwater catchment is defined as the collection and storage of rainwater before it is dispersed as surface run-off. Typically, this system collects the water running off a roof surface and passes it into a storage vessel. It’s a process that is by its nature inherently efficient; simply put, rainwater is a water supply that is used where it is collected. The water quality is typically high so it can be used for a wide variety of non-potable (non-drinking) purposes including WC flushing, laundry and garden irrigation

The other eco-friendly system that we use is solar panel roofing. Solar energy has an extremely low carbon footprint and doesn’t produce greenhouse gas emissions. Instead, it relies on a natural process to create electricity without emitting pollutants like carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Solar energy is quickly becoming one of the most popular sources of renewable energy around the world, with Areas like the Caribbean, Asia and the United States in solar energy production. With more people realizing the potential of solar energy and its ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, it is likely that this trend will only continue into the future.

Touchwood’s main ideas for sustainability are centred around a desire to create eco-friendly prefab wooden homes that are innovative and more environmentally friendly
In creating our eco-friendly prefab homes, the principal of sustainable design are applied to every aspect of the house design including the materials selection, design orientation, the systems utilised to construct and the operations of the dwelling.
