Waldorf Astoria Resort, Maldives

Touchwood supplied a number of prefab wood structures and timber elements for this prestigious prefabricated wooden resort project located in the Maldives.

We worked alongside the main timber contractor -Borneo Benar, who are very experienced, to achieve the highest quality finish expected of a 5 star hotel resort chain .

100% yellow balau wood was used throughout the resort to ensure durability in this exposed sea-side environment.

A Synthetic thatch roof cover was used for most of the prefabricated bungalows, cabanas, beach bungalows and villas supplied and installed by our team.

Exterior walls were all timber combined with our interior prefabricated cement board panelling, Which was either finished with a high-quality render, tiling or other decor to achieve the resort’s luxurious signature theme
